I Have a Concern
Hampton Vale Primary Academy is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expects all staff, governors and volunteers to share this commitment.
At Hampton Vale there is nothing more important to us than the physical health, emotional health and well-being of our pupils and staff alike.
If you have any concerns about a child, you can contact or speak to your child’s class teacher/teaching assistant before or after school, speak to a member of the Senior Leadership Team or our Safeguarding Lead. All our staff will always listen to concerns about the safety and wellbeing of a child.
A safeguarding concern is anything that makes you feel worried or uncomfortable about a child or concerned that a child may be at risk of harm or at risk of harming another. This includes your perception of the risk of radicalisation, sexual exploitation and any other form of child abuse (emotional, physical, neglect or sexual). It also includes self-harm or the use of drugs/alcohol.
We have a number of policies and procedures in place that contribute to our safeguarding commitment, including our Child Protection Policy. This can be found in the Safeguarding section of our website.
The Academy has a safeguarding team led by the Designated Safeguarding and Prevent Lead, Miss Thomas. The other safeguarding leads are:
Miss Clark - Attendance & Admissions
Mrs Bull - Nursery Manager
Mrs Finch - Safeguarding Governor
