SAFEGUARDING & CHILD PROTECTION AT
HAMPTON VALE PRIMARY ACADEMY
Parents / carers should know that the law requires all school staff to pass on information which gives rise to a concern about a child’s welfare, including risk from neglect, physical, emotional or sexual abuse.
Where possible, any concerns raised will be discussed with parents or carers and identified action will be shared. Where the school believes that a referral should be made to Children’s Social Care this will be discussed with parents and carers, except in circumstances where such discussions may place the child at increased risk of significant harm.
Occasionally, concerns are passed on which are later shown to be unfounded. We appreciate that this can be distressing for families but hope that parents and carers will understand that our staff will only ever act in the best interests of our children and that our priority is to safeguard our children.
If parents or carers have any concerns about any child that attends our school, please do come and share this with one of our Designated Safeguarding Leads:-
