Tonight's the Night – School Disco! Get your dancing shoes ready our School Disco is happening tonight in the Main Hall! Timings: Reception – Year 2: 4:00pm – 5:00pm Year 3 – Year 6: 5:15pm – 6:15pm Tuck Shop: Open during the event! Children can bring a small amount of spending money to buy refreshments. Tickets: £2 per child available now via the MCAS app. Please note: All clubs (except Explorers) are cancelled today. Explorers will instead take place in the Studio. Black History Month Celebration! Yesterday, we had the privilege of welcoming the Peterborough Community Gospel Choir to our school for a special assembly as part of our Black History Month celebrations. The children absolutely loved it singing, clapping, and joining in with such enthusiasm! A huge thank you to the choir for sharing their incredible voices, energy, and joy with us. It was a truly uplifting experience for everyone!

Black History Month Exhibition At the start of the week, we held our Black History Month Exhibition, celebrating the incredible creativity and hard work of our students from Nursery to Year 6. We are extremely proud of every single pupil here at Hampton Vale Primary Academy the displays were truly inspiring! A special highlight of the event was a fantastic performance of Michael Jackson's "Beat It" well done to all involved! Thank you to everyone who came along to support and celebrate with us.

At Hampton Vale Primary Academy, we proudly took part in Show Racism the Red Card. Throughout the day, pupils engaged in thoughtful conversations about racism, equality, and respect, and expressed their ideas through powerful artwork promoting unity. Here are a few highlights from our day!

This month in Art Club, our talented Years 3–6 students are diving into a creative project for the Black History Exhibition! They'll be designing and crafting a stunning paper outfit on a mannequin, inspired by the vibrant and joyful artwork of Alma Thomas a trailblazing African American artist known for her colourful abstract paintings. We can't wait to see their imagination come to life through pattern, colour, and creativity!
